Level Peaks is proud to have been able to support the local NHS by donating PPE at a time when supplies were short worldwide.
Early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic saw severe disruption to global supplies of personal protection equipment (PPE). Healthcare workers rely on PPE to protect themselves and their patients from being infected and infecting others. Due to limited access to supplies of gloves, medical masks, respirators, goggles, face shields, gowns, and aprons, some healthcare workers were having to fashion their own PPE. Level Peaks’ specialist supply chain put us in a position to review our stocks and identify if anything appropriate could be donated.
Level Peaks acted quickly and in March we were able to provide our whole stock of ESS Crosshair glasses to Kington Surgery. The ESS Crosshair glasses offer eye protection to counter the possibility of transmission through droplets entering the body through mucus membranes and greater levels of comfort than alternatives, which were causing rashes and soreness during long-shifts.
COVID-19 had had a profound impact on the lives of many in our local community and supplying PPE has allowed Level Peaks to make a small impact where it is needed most with our excellent health services and those on the front line of the epidemic.
